It reminds me of my college years writing about the functions of skin cells. I still remember vividly my biology class under our high-strung mentor a couple of years ago. Despite her whims and caprices, we still managed to pass the subject and learn something out of it. What are the basic functions of the skin What exactly are the functions of the skin cells? In the context of getting healthy skin, we need to expand our discussion to also the various functions of the skin in general. The skin is the outer covering of the body. It is the largest organ of the rudimentary system. In fact, it is the largest organ in our entire body. The skin is made up of different layers of the epithelial tissues. The skin is our first line of defense. It covers a wide array of muscle tissues and other organs.
